Golf Course Review Eagle Glen Golf Club Corona California
Reviewed by: colby022002, Fontana, CA. Played here 7/21/19 with a 6:50 am tee time. Pace of play was awesome at 4.5 hours for our foursome. Cost was $77 pr player. Staff was very friendly and kind. Starter did a great job pacing groups and not putting twosomes behind 4 somes etc.
Course conditions
Golf Playing Conditions 6.40 GOOD
Greens- Perfect! downhill speeds were fast but greens held balls and rolled true.
Fairways- lush green and trim. A few ground under repairs on hole 12 par 5 which hopefully they will get fixed.
Rough- Not too long, able to get out of pretty easily.
Sand- fluffed and able to get out of, no rocks visible. (i was in 4 traps)
Tee boxes- level and green and good with the exception of hole 15.

Playing Conditions 7.03 GREAT
There are always improvements going on at the Goat and right now it’s definitely some major work. There has been a ton of new sod laid in fairways and some tees that had become pretty chewed up and un-even (happens on these shorter courses and Par 3s). It’s pretty cool to see right now but for the next 2-3 weeks you just take a free drop from all construction areas.
As for the rest of the course its in really solid shape. The greens are running really smoothly, however they still seems a little on the slower side than I’m used to. In the morning especially when the moisture is still in the grass it takes a little to get it to the hole. On the flip side, it does help with the difficult greens.
Final Thoughts
I think the new improvements are going to make the course much more playable and enjoyable. If you’ve played the Goat you know that sometimes you hit pretty decent shots or have some small misses but the ball would bounce and roll into some tough spots. Now, with new grass, that will be minimized. Good for everyone!
With the greens in good shape and the rest of the fairways, tees and rough in good shape (while waiting on the new sod to take) the course is still a fun test.

On Friday 6/28, we played here for the first time. I called the pro shop when we arrived at the hotel to check on availability and non resident rates. Spoke with Chris who was friendly and answered all my questions.
We headed over to the course for a late afternoon round , figuring we’d get in at least 12 or so holes, since we were starting after 4:15 pm. Chris got us going upon our arrival and was just as friendly in person as he was on the phone. He called and had their cart person bring up a cart for us. Kai arrived in moments, also great with customer service and friendliness. Got us on our way quickly.
The Review
Golf Playing Conditions 7.31 GREAT
The course was in good shape, despite the heat. Even though the course winds through neighborhoods, most of the fairways allowed you to not be precise with your tee shots. If you happened to miss, the rough was playable. The greens were only good and not great because they apparently have a lot of people play this course who do not understand how to repair a ball mark! ??
Even though it was hot and breezy, which probably kept some people away, I was still amazed that we finished the round in under 3 1/2 hrs! As we drove the cart back, Kai was waiting to assist us in unloading, making sure we left nothing on the cart. He was very engaging and wanted to be sure we had a good time.
The Bottom-line
We told him we had a great time, but he should suggest to management that they change the start time of their sprinklers by 45 minutes to an hour this time of year, as the last coup of holes – around the 7:30 pm. time frame, we had to dodge them to finish, and there was still a good amount of daylight left.
Definitely worth a visit!!
Golf Course Review Journey at Pechanga Temecula California

Very scenic layout with good variety of holes winding through the hills and canyons laid out with dramatic vistas and many tee shots down to greens or fairways, and due to the layout with the cart path taking you back up, there are really no uphill holes.
The Review
Golf Playing Conditions 8.58 GREAT
Conditions overall are very good. Fairways are lush with closely mowed dense grass that provides good roll while providing excellent cushion. A few too many unfilled divots consistent with a “resort” course. Rough is thick and healthy, cut to about 1 inch so generally very playable. Tees lush and level, some divot damage on par 3s but mostly repaired. Bunkers filled with fine but well compacted shiny white sand.
Greens firm and receptive for full shots but tricky for chips and pitches. Medium fast mostly smooth with some levels and contours. Some subtle breaks and the prevailing topography needing to be considered as well.
Friendly helpful staff. Grass driving range with large practice area for chipping. Large putting green that provided good approximate speeds. Interactive GPS.
The Bottom-line
One negative was the POP 515 when reaching the 17th tee with 2 groups waiting. Staff reported that there had been 2 groups 4 hrs earlier that bogged things down and with full bookings the course just did not recover. There were no on course staff to help POP again not uncommon for a resort course and a Saturday. Still an overall enjoyable outing.

The Review
Golf Playing Conditions 8.65 GREAT
Golf course was in excellent conditions. As overall green and lush as I’ve ever played it. Bunker all groomed with high quality sand. Tee boxes lush and great shape. Rough challenging, lush and tough. That Bermuda grass is only going to get longer as the heat picks up so it puts a tremendous price on accuracy from tee to green. Greens running smooth, holding shots and medium speed. When you have bent grass greens like they do you have to keep them a little long in the summer.
The more I play this layout, the more I like it. Most of the time I’ve played it from the black tees, this time from the white tees and it’s so cool how different it plays from the tee boxes as such. Big premium on tee shot accuracy. I was hitting fantastic long accurate tee shots on the front nine and shot 1 over (I don’t keep score but hard not to know it when you are playing that well). Back nine my driver got little loose and played around bogey golf. That’s quick this golf course can hook you up or bite you. Beautiful green complexes and scenery. Having played here a few times before I knew what I was getting into when we got to the course. The staff is super friendly from the moment you arrive. Check-in was simple and our bags were on carts by the time we left the pro shop. Every thing about this course has a laid back vibe, from the Tiki decor and the country and island music playing by the snack shake to the crush shell mounds separating the holes.
As for course conditions I thought it was better than expected for end of June. The tee’s were goods and had great coverage with the exception of two or three that needed to be moved. Fairways lush and mostly green providing great roll and fluffy enough lies to hit your approach shots. Rough was good and wasn’t overly penal. Greens were medium/fast and held most well well hit shots. The one thing to note is the greens here are tough and the pin locations were tough all day. It is always best to shoot for middle of the green here as there are many false edges.
Overall this course is a blast to play even with the planes constantly flying over it is still worth it IMO. I recommend you go out and play.

Conditions were awesome for the beginning of summer. For me, the greens were the highlight. I thought they were smooth and the speed was consistent throughout. The only bumps I saw were from old unrepaired ball marks. Fairways were lush with no bare areas. Rough was decent. The sand was heavy but easy to hit out.
I love this course and is easily a top pick in the Vegas area.
Parting Thoughts
Course is so fun to play and even though it’s a Nicklaus Signature course, it’s one of his tamer ones. Wide fairways and green complexes that don’t overly penalize you.
Definitely a must play in Vegas.
