Played the Blues (73.3/136/6670) with 140ver, Ali & Armando in bright, breezy conditions in the 70’s. The POP was around 4H, 45M.

The Bermuda tees were very good, mowed close. Only a few par 3’s needed divot attention.

The Bermuda fairways played very well. I almost always had good lies in the fairway.

The Bermuda rough had good coverage and was not too penal.

The traps here have good quality sand & are very nicely maintained.

The greens putted medium fast were usually firm and relatively smooth in the morning. The green complexes @ Maderas are huge, undulating and many have crowns. You could easily have a 100+ foot putt on multiple greens on this course.

Excellent practice facility that is inclusive with the green fee. The customer service was excellent from all encountered. Starts with an attendant collecting your clubs when you arrive, to complimentary range balls and finishes with attendants who clean you clubs and provide cool, wet towels for you to wash off with at the conclusion of your round. They also have an informative starter and Marshall who actually looks to enforce POP guidelines. Drink cart out and making the rounds multiple times.

This would be a very challenging course to walk since it’s hilly with several tees a good distance from the last green. Many holes have red penalty areas down one or both sides, but I usually find this course very manageable off the tee. Fairly wide landing areas on most holes. The only negative here is that the carts do not have GPS, which is really odd for a high end course? Definitely would be beneficial here, with all the elevation changes it is challenging to gauge distances correctly. The amenities, layout, design, difficulty and conditions are all well above average.

Definitely recommended.
