Early morning round with a couple of the locals in a little over four hours. I loved everything about the course. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Tee boxes were all very level and in good shape front and back. The fairways had nice coverage with a lot of kikuyu. The rough was generally fairly thick and deep on the front and thin and short on the back nine. The sand traps were very similar to most courses I play in my area. The greens were great! They rolled true and held shots fairly well. The numerous deer on the course used a few as doormats with no noticeable damage or prints. They were fairly quick for the time of year here and being so near the coast. The front and back nine are two different courses – with numerous trees on the front and links conditions on the back! GREAT views on the back nine especially on the elevated tees with nice views of the blue Pacific Ocean!! The locals said the new management company that runs the course for the city has made the course what it is – NICE JOB! Definitely recommended with reasonable rates for the area!!!
