Up visiting family this week and decided to play BO early today 4/19 as a walk on. The starter hooked me up with another single from So Cal who was also up visiting family. Nice guy and we both had an enjoyable morning. On a cool, beautiful day, we were the third group off and finished in about 3:45. The front nine was slow as we got behind a pretty slow 3 some but they only played 9 holes so on the back 9 the pace was great.

The course is in very nice condition. Fairways were great. Seemingly just mowed so we had great lies. The rough is thick however. Don’t go in there. Seemed a little unfair in some areas and I hope they cut the rough down a bit. Bunkers were in great shape. A real improvement from the last time I was here. The tee boxes were in good condition but many were uneven. Greens were aerated a couple of weeks ago, are still in recovery and pretty slow. In a couple of weeks, they should be rolling nicely. The greens have always been great here. They are usually fast and smooth and unfortunately for me, I caught it when they were being aerated.

I really enjoy playing this course and make it a point to play it whenever I get up here. It plays long, over 6700 from the blues and with heavy morning dew made it play much longer.
