Played Los Robles Greens on Monday, January 21 on MLK day. Our foursome had a 9:30 tee time. For a holiday, the pace of play was great, just over 4 hours. We waited only a few times. Overall this course is in very good winter conditions. The course itself is a nice mix of holes that will challenge you if you can’t hit it straight. There are a number of tee shots that are somewhat narrow, and many strategically placed trees will block your approach shots if you’re not in the correct position. The variety of holes on this course makes it quite fun to play.

For the middle of winter, the course is in very nice shape. Tee boxes are fine. The fairways are quite green and provide very nice lies almost anywhere in the fairway. The rough along the fairways is about 1 – 2 inches and not very penal. The green-side rough is not too deep and nice to hit from. I was in 2 green-side bunkers. They were filled with very soft sand and were a pleasure to hit from. The greens were on the fast side and rolled quite nicely. They were also a bit soft from the recent rains, and held shots well. I highly recommend playing here at this time.
