I play Morro Bay every week, and have done so for the past 18 years since I retired.

Never have the greens been in better condition than today. Firm, fast but hold high shots into the green. Overall the course is in great shape. I was not in any of the three bunkers, so I can’t really comment, but they looked good. If you have not played Morro Bay with fast greens, you will likely three or four putts several holes. Any putt above the hole on seven or twelve that does not go in will be 10 or 12 feet off the green for your next putt.

But as there is no water and few bunkers the course rates 2 or 3 strokes lower than most courses.
