First round today, of a week golf trip. Played today after a morning tournament and POP was 3.5 H. Indian Canyon was designed in 1930 by H Chandler Egan. Play began in 1935. It is one of the top 25 public courses in the US. It has hosted numerous USGA amateur events.

The course sits in a beautiful canyon (so quite/serene) surrounded by large towering trees, which do come into play (and NO homes). The tee boxes were great. Fairways (up, down, dogleg right, left, lots of elevation changes) were wonderful, with plenty of roll and beautiful lies, all round. Many large bunkers, in great shape and clean and playable. Greens are spectacular. Large, undulating, fast, true. Fabulous par 3’s.

Customer service excellent at all levels. Highly recommended, if/when you are in the area. Tomorrow is Palouse in Pullman and on to Circling Raven.
