The Review

Wow. Course is in fantastic shape.

I play a lot of private golf, and this course is in country club shape.

Greens lightning fast, about 11.5. True, and firm, but hold well struck shots. Interesting green complexes. The whole course is in great shape. For public play, it’s well taken care of. Bunkers could be raked better, but the sand is consistent throughout. Links style course that is vulnerable when there is no wind, like today.

Elkhorn continues to be one of my favorite Central Valley courses. Classic parkland layout with tight fairways, tree lined holes, and raised bent grass greens

Customer service is outstanding! Friendly pro shop, well stocked with equipment, logo adidas shirts for $32! Nice bar and restaurant as well that is reasonably price

Course has made an effort to continue to improve conditions. Bent grass greens are excellent, fairways green and cut short for middle of summer. Rough could use a little work. They’ve done a nice job of adding sand to the bunkers, although the fairway bunkers are too soft and have too much sand in them.

Overall, still s nice deal, nice challenge, and fun experience.
