Played Wed 3/11, 8:50 tee time; course in great shape. Greens running fast 10, slow 11, true and smooth.

Challenging and mostly fair layout that is fun to play. A little bit of course knowledge is important, because it matters. I’ve decided hole 18 is not a good hole. But I would play this course anytime.

3/31/2019 Tournament play put POP at five hours on a terrific mild sunny Sunday.

Course in good shape poised to green-up into great conditions when it rains less and more sunny days. That said a few wet spots and two holes cart path only. Fairways good lies with some dormant grass intermingled. Played ball down and had no issues. Rough fairly thick and deep in other areas. In the trees it’s deeper green and must be watchful balls go astray in there. Whereas in summer it’s brown and down but then it rolls in deeper.

Greens putted well a bit slower than usual and probably prepping for the aeration scheduled April 1+2. Know Before You Go!

After that process and healing it should be great conditions at TC. Beverage cart around three times (maybe more) and customer service great as usual. My score? could always be better!

A unique track in the Sacramento-Roseville area as it a blend of open holes and target golf.

Customer Service is outstanding; nice touch that they run a cart out to your car upon arrival. Pro shop is well stocked; friendly staff. Nice grass driving range. My only complaint in this area is the tee times at 8 min apart does slow down play on a Saturday.

On course staff was friendly, beer cart up and running. Course conditions- Fairways were in great shape. A few tee boxes chewed up a little but still in good shape overall. Bunkers had decent amount of sand, which is rare in the Sacramento area.

This course requires a lot of thinking and planning. Multiple clubs can be played off the tee.
Had a nice time despite pace of play being a little on the slow side.
